Aurora Highlands LLC is planning to covert 2,900 –acres of vacant land east of Aurora into homes, parks, offices, and shopping centers. The project of the same name, Aurora Highlands, will be home to about 60,000 residents and 23,000 homes. The homes in the future community will be priced from $200,000 to more than $1 million. The community will include recreation centers, parks, a downtown district, retail, restaurants, entertainment, and office space. Aurora Highlands LLC has to establish a relationship with both the City of Aurora and Adams County. This will help with the development company change some of the infrastructure and interchanges of E-40 and I-70 for the future community.
