What once was a retail destination filled with shops and a fun nightclub, became a bit of a ghost town as the space above went under development. The St Paul Collection is now a beautiful addition to Cherry Creek’s landscape, adding residential units which have increased the consumer base in Cherry Creek, which in turn has greatly benefitted the local businesses. With that complete, Matt Joblon, chief executive officer for BMC Investments decided it was time to reactivate the garden-level area and bring it back to its former glory – with some improvements.
Rebranded as The Garden @ St Paul, the area is focused on health, wellness, beauty and lifestyle. After months of vetting tenants as the project team simultaneously redid the landscaping, cleaned up the walkways, and added some much-needed design features, the resulting space compliments it’s sister development upstairs. It’s a little oasis in Cherry Creek with covered parking that opens directly to The Garden. When people complain about the parking in Cherry Creek, this is a secret benefit that the customers of the businesses that call The Garden their home can take advantage of.
Amongst the new tenants are Mani Pedi, Semper Laser, The Studio, Nomad Beauty, Hair Vice, and the TuTu School.
“Garden Level space can sometimes be looked at as a less desirable lower budget option for tenants, however, with what BMC did to invigorate the space, it was easy for us to find the right tenants in order to make this a fabulous destination. It is a fun project of which we are honored to be a part,” said Solveig Tschudi Lawrence, Kentwood Commercial.
“The garden-level space at St Paul has always had great energy, however, when we began the redevelopment of what is now the St Paul Collection, we had the unfortunate task of vacating the fantastic tenants that had been there for several years. It had always been our desire to bring that space back to life, and with the help of Solveig and Karen with Kentwood Commercial, we’ve diligently brought a tenant mix that has amazing synergy, and we look forward to leasing the final two spaces,” said Joblon.
