According to the Denver Business Journal, CapitaLand, of Singapore has purchased five Denver apartment buildings. The buildings are part of a portfolio of 16 U.S. multifamily properties bought for $835 million.
The Sienna at Cherry Creek complex, located 1939 S. Quebec Way, has 220 units and was purchased for $40.6 million. The other four apartment complexes in Colorado are:
- Silverbrook at 15403 E. 1st Ave. in Aurora, which has 165 units
- Canterra at Fitzsimons at 358 Potomac St. in Aurora, which has 188 units
- Parkfield Apartment Homes at 16199 Green Valley Ranch Boulevard in Denver, which has 476 units
- Dartmouth Woods Apartment Homes at 10025 W. Dartmouth Ave. in Lakewood, which has 201 units
CapitalLand is one of Asia’s largest real estate companies, headquartered and listed in Singapore.
CapitaLand reportedly listed major employers in Colorado including Lockheed Martin Corp, United Airlines and Aimco as reasons for making the acquisitions.
