Denver-Based Hotel Company Achieves Top Accolade from Marriott

Denver-based hotel company Five Senses Hospitality has been recognized as the Horizon Award winner from Marriott® International.

The Horizon Award recognizes the “up and comers” within hospitality management companies. Recipients must meet several performance thresholds and maintain required criteria.  Honorees are on the trajectory to joining Marriott’s renowned Partnership Circle and positioned for continued growth with Marriott.

“After fewer than two years into our company’s history, it is truly humbling for an industry giant like Marriott to take notice of our commitment to operating excellent hotels and providing career opportunities for our team members. On behalf of our 200+ team members, thank you to Marriott for this honor,” stated Chris Manley, president of Five Senses Hospitality.

Jeff Blackman, founder of Five Senses Hospitality, said “When we started this company in the middle of the pandemic, we could not have imagined the pace of growth.  We feel very fortunate to partner with Marriott.”

Manley, former COO of Denver-based Stonebridge Companies, and Blackman, founder of Bedford Lodging, established Five Senses Hospitality in 2020. The hotel group manages 11 properties, totaling more than 1,000 rooms. Five Senses Hospitality focuses on select service and extended stay hotels in the southeast and western United States. Manley and Blackman share a combined nearly 60 years of hotel and real estate investment experience.
