Colorado-based developer East West Partners announced today the completion of The Amble, a new, all-electric residential community at Steamboat Ski Resort. With $83 million in sales volume since sales began in 2024, only 14 residences remain available in the first new residential development in the base area in the last 15 years.

359 Design served as architect of The Amble and Saunders Construction was the general contractor. Slifer Smith & Frampton is the listing brokerage for the property.

“We could not be more excited to have The Amble complete and to be welcoming families to their new home—one that celebrates Steamboat’s unique pace of life and takes an active role in being at the forefront of sustainable development in the community,” said Ryan Stone, managing partner for East West Partners. “It’s been a joy to watch this project come to fruition and now we are watching it actually come to life.”

East West Partners has 40 years of experience creating dynamic, sustainable mountain resorts and vibrant urban communities. As the nation’s premier mountain resort developer, East West Partners masterminded the development of Beaver Creek Village and its iconic escalators back in the 1980s, as well as the recent $600 million transformation of the Snowmass Base Village. As the developer selected to transform Steamboat Ski Resort’s base village, East West Partners has been proud to support Steamboat’s vision of enhancing the guest experience and creating what will continue to be one of the premier ski destinations in the world for many years to come.

Only 14 of The Amble’s 42 residences are still available. Remaining residences range in size from one- to four-plus-bedrooms and range in price from $1.8M to $8.5M. Amenities at The Amble include an outdoor, all-electric heated pool and spa; outdoor seating and grilling areas; fitness center; lobby and gathering spaces; game room; secure owner storage; underground, heated and secured parking; and outdoor activity lockers.

A focus on sustainable development is one of the most notable aspects of The Amble and the project is on track to earn National Green Building Standard’s highest certification level of Emerald, representing elite performance in sustainability, energy savings, and green building practices. The building creates its own sustainable ecosystem through climate-responsive architecture, daylighting and natural ventilation. Its mechanical system is designed not only to be 100% electric but also to capture, retain and reuse rejected energy from the building systems.

The Amble is steps away from the new Steamboat Square featuring dining and retail, Skeeter’s rink, Steamboat Stage and a kid’s camp as well as slopeside lockers and ski valet for Amble owners. Steamboat Ski Resort’s recent on-mountain improvements include 650 additional expert/advanced acres, new automated snowmaking technology, regraded Greenhorn Ranch learning center and the new Wild Blue Gondola – the longest and fastest 10-person gondola in North America. Downtown Steamboat Springs is just a 10-minute drive and Yampa Valley Regional Airport is just 30 minutes away and offers 16 nonstop flights from major airports across the country.

“Many of our Amble buyers are from out of state, but all of them share a love for Steamboat as one of Colorado’s quintessential mountain communities,” said Stone. “It’s hard to beat The Amble, which is quite literally right in the center of the action for year-round mountain adventures.”
