Alliance Construction Solutions recently hosted Governor Jared Polis and project stakeholders for a tour of South Platte Crossing, highlighting the development’s progress over the last few months and the significant changes since the project’s groundbreaking in January 2024. The visit showcased several features within the development, including upscale finishes in the one- and two-bedroom units, such as sleek countertops, modern appliances, and in-unit washers and dryers. The tour also highlighted the unique exterior stairway and thoughtfully placed playground, designed for a more intentional, resident-centered layout.

South Platte Crossing is a four-story development with 60 residential units and podium parking, spanning 76,358 square feet. The project is designed to increase access to quality housing near local transit while supporting a vibrant, connected community. Governor Polis’s visit reinforced Commerce City’s commitment to addressing housing needs through innovative and community focused solutions.

During the tour, Governor Polis was joined by Eric Nesbitt (Nesbitt Commercial Group), Jeff Hopfenbeck (Simple Homes), Chadrick Martinez (Brinshore Development), and Aaron Miripol (Urban Land Conservancy). The group reflected on the progress made and began to look ahead to the ribbon-cutting ceremony and tenant move-ins coming up this spring.

The project is being developed by Brinshore Development, LLC, and Eric Nesbitt of Nesbitt Commercial Group, with additional project stakeholders including
Urban Land Conservancy, Carvell Architecture, and Alliance Construction Solutions as the general contractor. South Platte Crossing is set to provide much-
needed affordable housing while fostering long-term community engagement.

South Platte Crossing is located on 4.73 acres of land and is in an “opportunity zone,” making it a prime location for nonprofit organizations.
