In late June, Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to officially commence its newest station, Station #5. Golden Triangle Construction (GTC), a full-service employee-owned commercial general contractor, will be working closely with FFFPD and Allred & Associates Architecture to carry out this project. The plans for this project are set to be completed in late summer of 2024.
The construction of this brand-new fire station includes a one-story, 15,000-square-foot space with three pull-thru bays, eight bunk rooms, offices/conference rooms, and a mezzanine within the bay. An exercise room will be built conveniently for the firefighters as well to accommodate their busy schedules. There will also be associated sitework including a new concrete drive and parking lot along with an entrance that will be built as part of a project for future expansion.
This extensive project has high expectations to serve as a home away from home for the firefighters as well as a safe haven for the communities of Frederick and Firestone. Fire Chief Jeremy Young explained, “Service is the cornerstone of [their] core values, it is the forged foundation on which Frederick-Firestone Fire District is built, this groundbreaking is another step in the service level our citizens and visitors will experience in the years to come with this new fire station. This day represents the continued
commitment to our legacy of providing the highest quality of emergency services to our community.”
Fire Chief Young also went on to express how Frederick-Firestone Station #5 is, “Looking forward to witnessing [GTC’s] expertise and craftmanship of such an amazing fire station in which our personnel will live and serve our community.”
GTC is fully equipped and honored to carry out this project with its commitment to the highest standard of excellence.
