Haselden Construction was recently awarded the Associated General Contractors of Colorado 2024 ACE Award in the $40-$70-million-dollar category for the Vail Precourt Healing Center in Edwards. This award highlights Haselden’s commitment to delivering innovative behavioral health facilities that put patient comfort at the forefront. Each year the ACE Awards recognize Colorado’s construction industry, including general contractors and specialty subcontractors, and the top projects completed throughout the year.
Award recipients are selected based on innovation, management, safety results and overall service to the community. Haselden’s construction crew navigated challenging weather conditions, developed custom materials with manufacturers, and worked through rel-time changing building code requirements to deliver a new behavioral health center that met Vail Health’s needs and vision.
The 28-bed center prioritizes patient comfort and recovery with exercise rooms on each floor and ample supervised outdoor space—a rarity in most mental health facilities. Each floor is dedicated to an age group, from adolescents to adults, and designed to meet the needs of each audience. The center also provides 24-hour behavioral health care in English and Spanish, family support, comprehensive case management and collaborative community-based discharge planning.
