Colorado Economic Development Commission chairman and investment banker, J.J Ament, has been chosen to lead Metro Denver Economic Development. He will be taking over for former CEO, Tom Clack, now that he will be retiring from his post on March 31. J.J Ament had experience in political consulting, agriculture, and finance. He has also worked closely with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce while he was chairman at Colorado Economic Development Commission to improve the National Western Complex. J.J Ament is the son of former state senator and Colorado Department of Agriculture Executive Director Don Ament. Tom Clark admired J.J Aments work on the National Western Complex, and his willingness to go against the wishes of some Denver Hospitality Leaders. Ament was chosen out of more than 120 applicants.
