BROOMFIELD – Kevin Taylor Restaurant Group (KTRG) will open its second restaurant at the Arista Broomfield mixed-use development in late 2018. KTRG’s latest concept will be named Masa Cocina Mexicana and occupy the 3,200 square feet endcap space of 8181 Arista Place.
Under the direction of Executive Chef/Partner Frank Blea, as well as Chef/Partner Ryan Taylor, Masa will serve contemporary Mexican fare rooted in traditional flavors that span the entirety of Mexico, rather than a singular region.
“Arista and the community of Broomfield have welcomed us with open arms,” said Kevin Taylor. “We’re looking forward to bringing another quality chef-driven restaurant to this exciting community.”
Construction began in June and is being done by Catamount Constructors. The architect for the space is Michael Haider of Advanced Planning Solutions. The space will feature natural materials, generous ceiling heights and an ample outdoor patio area. The interior will seat 130 people and an additional 60 people on the outdoor patio.
“Kevin, and his team have made an immediate impact at Arista and the Broomfield community,” said Arista Developer, Tim Wiens. “We couldn’t be more excited about adding Masa Cocina to the main street of Arista Place.”
Arista Broomfield, strategically situated between Denver and Boulder, is the only true transit-oriented, mixed-use, entertainment-anchored development of its kind in Colorado. The 200-acre project provides a unique blend of urban living in a suburban location in the heart of the “Creative Corridor.”
Arista has experienced a surge in activity the last five years with the addition of a second, Class A office building, new tenants Spaces and SpotX and other retailers located on the main street. A new medical office building is slated for 2019 and the development’s 18-acre retail project named the Turnpike Shops at Arista, is under construction with a new Starbucks, Comfort Suites and a branch of FirsTier Bank all underway.
