KTGY, a leading full-service architecture, branding, interior and planning firm focused on residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments and neighborhood revitalization, has earned 13 prestigious awards including one Platinum and seven Gold awards at three recent National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) virtual awards events: Best in American Living Awards, Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards and The Nationals.

The awards recognize KTGY’s wide range of capabilities, excellence and innovation in the design and planning of attached and detached single-family and multifamily residential communities. Included in the array of awards is the Gold award for The Met at Boulevard One in Denver.

NAHB’s Best in American Living Awards (BALA) program recognizes the highest quality residential design. BALA winners showcase top design trends that home buyers can expect to see in homes and communities over the next several years. The 2020 award winners were celebrated and honored at a virtual ceremony.

The Met at Boulevard One

Developer: Metropolitan Homes
Builder: Metropolitan Homes
Architect/Designer: KTGY
Landscape Architect/Designer: Consilium Design

The Met at Boulevard One is comprised of 102 condominiums and is located close to employment, shopping, recreation and entertainment venues. These low-maintenance homes offer dynamic interior elements and outdoor gathering areas that provide unique extensions of indoor living spaces. Amenities include ample bicycle storage so the residents can mobilize locally without having to utilize their cars.

KTGY worked with the developer to create a design that recalls the former inhabitant, Lowry Air Force Base. Buff brick and black trim are the dominant colors of the historic buildings and a reddish-brown brick offers contrast. A flat roof offers buyers a modernized feel and horizontal metal railings and framed windows give a masculine vibe to this new development. Dwellings are accessed via a central corridor with a single elevator and ground floor homes have generous patios with raised brick garden walls for individual privacy. Designed with empty-nesters in mind, The Met at Boulevard One offers buyers a new turn-key residence with modern architectural details that pay homage to the past.
