Denver, CO — According to CBRE Research Denver’s Q3 2016 Office MarketView report, office space under construction exceeded 4.6 million SF, marking its highest level since 2000. In addition, investors continue to purchase existing office space in downtown Denver and pour money into upgrades such as security systems, given the aging building stock downtown. With asking lease rates rising to a record $25.62/SF Full Service Gross (FSG), owners must find new ways to remain competitive in this growing office sector.

Local AV and acoustics consulting company, K2, responded to this continued growth of both office new construction and the competitive market for existing office space by recently adding Ben Levison to the growing firm as a Senior Consultant in charge of Electronic Security Systems Design. As an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Levison understands the importance of maintaining a secure site with access controls and the growing reliance on video surveillance for security purposes.

“Over the past few years, K2 has continued to expand not only in our service offerings but also in company size. We continue to innovate and adapt to market conditions crucial to the commercial real estate industry,” commented Deb Britton, CEO and Founding Principal of K2. “Ben’s addition to our firm allows us to expand our existing AV, IT and acoustics service offerings to include data/security design services.”

Mr. Levison brings more than 25 years of security industry experience to K2 with expertise in security operations and technologies, site assessments, and financial and crisis management. He will be responsible for the design of integrated access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems at K2. Mr. Levison is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and has a Master’s of Business Administration from the New Hampshire College Graduate School of Business.
