Mortenson Honors Outstanding Trade Partner Efforts at 10th Annual Star Awards Event

Denver, COMortenson held its 10th annual Star Awards on October 5th. The event at Mile High Station recognizes outstanding efforts by trade partners in the past year.

“Mortenson is proud to be celebrating its 35th year of doing business in Colorado. We could not be where we are today without the efforts of our trade partners. It’s important for us to recognize their dedication and hard work by hosting this annual event,” said Maja Rosenquist, senior vice president and general manager of Mortenson’s Denver office. “On behalf of all of Mortenson’s project teams, I offer a hearty congratulations and thank you to all the nominated firms and winners!”

The 2016 winners include:

Safety – Engineered Demo for CoorsTek
Preconstruction – Gen3 Construction for their success on multiple projects
Quality – Connell Resources for the new Larimer County Humane Society facility
Innovation – Big D Metalworks for the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center
Teamwork – Colorado Hardscapes for the Halcyon Hotel
Small Business Partner – Gilbert Contracting for the Stapleton Redevelopment
BIM – Encore Electric for the Colorado State University On-Campus Stadium
Project Manager – Justin Stine, Concrete Frame Associates for the Colorado State University On-Campus Stadium
Superintendent – John Weidman, Kenney Electric for United Airlines Flight Training Center
Overall Subcontractor – Encore Electric
