AE Design Hires First Director of Business Development and Marketing

AE Design — founded in 2004 by the University of Colorado Boulder Alumni Jon Brooks and Jeff Mullikin — has always found the need for designated marketing personnel in the AEC environment. After nearly a decade with a marketing coordinator role to drive brand awareness and support business development activities, this month AE Design hired Laraine Saldivar, AE Design’s first director of business development and marketing, a strategic addition to the leadership team.

Laraine joined AE Design with strong business development experience in the general contracting environment, along with key management experience in others. Laraine is a natural networker – building and maintaining key relationships throughout the Denver business and AEC community. Laraine is also involved in local nonprofits, like the Rocky Mountain Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Project Angel Heart. Laraine is accountable for enthusiastically raising the bar for all business development and marketing-related initiatives in the firm. Driving culture on the foundation of our core values, and AE Design is thrilled to add momentum to building meaningful relationships in AEC and the design community across Colorado, and Nationwide.

 

SVN Hires New Advisor

SVN | Denver Commercial, one of Colorado’s top producing real estate investment brokerage firms, is pleased to announce the addition of Oxana Eremiants as an advisor. Oxana specializes in the sale and leasing of investment properties, with a focus on multi-family properties in the Denver metro.

Murphy Company Adds Six Team Members

Murphy Company, a mechanical construction contractor with a Colorado presence of over 35 years, announced the addition of six new team members.

Lindsay Williams joins Murphy Company as a service business process & technology manager with nine years of experience in the mechanical industry. At Murphy Company, Williams will be focusing on applying automation and process efficiencies to better serve our clients while working to prepare our business for the future.

Crystal Peden joins Murphy Company in Business Development and Sales. Having worked in the mechanical industry for 16 years, Peden’s experience ranges from business development to project management. Peden will be working alongside the Get-Work team in prospecting and cultivating business leads at Murphy Company.

Cody Reese

Cody Reese joins Murphy Company as a project manager. Bringing five years of industry experience, Reese previously worked for general and mechanical contractors in Washington D.C. In his role as project manager, Reese will be overseeing a variety of client projects. 

Jay Espindola joins Murphy Company as a senior project manager at the Southern Colorado Office. Having spent over 10 years working for electrical and mechanical contractors, Espindola earned his Master Mechanical, Pipefitter, Refrigeration and Utility licenses and has expertise in estimating, project management and operations management.

Jay Watson joins Murphy Company as a pre-construction manager. With over 27 years of experience in engineering, estimating and pre-construction, Watson worked in various roles within the industry, from consulting to sales. Watson will be assisting the Get-Work Team in the bidding and proposal process for projects and developing meaningful relationships while providing design engineering insight during the pre-construction stages. 

Cody White joins Murphy Company as a project manager. With over seven years of experience in the mechanical industry, White will be developing new professional relationships and taking the lead on key projects in his new role at Murphy.

 

Piper Sandler Expands Special District Group Announces New Hires

Piper Sandler Companies, a leading investment bank recently added several new team members to its special district group, a team now compromised of nearly 30 public finance professionals that fund the public infrastructure needs of. growing communities. Most recently, Blaine Hawkins and Jack Oliver joined Piper Sandler.

Blaine Hawkins joins Piper Sandler as an associate in Public Finance Investment Banking for the Special District Group. In his new role, Hawkins will provide transactional support to the group’s senior bankers, focusing on the Colorado market. A recent graduate from Central College, Hawkins holds a bachelor’s in Economics and Finance.

Jack Oliver joins the Special District Group as a quantitative associate. In his new position serving clients nationwide, Oliver will be conducting quantitative analysis behind bond issuances. Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Oliver was a senior financial analyst at Maxar Technologies, where he modeled the movement of satellite data to create cost projections. Oliver holds an MBA from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont.
