Hoff & Leigh Continues Growth with New Broker

Katie Martineau

Hoff & Leigh Denver, a local commercial real estate company, announced the addition of Katie Martineau as a broker associate. Martineau earned her degree in marketing from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She started her professional career in the hotel industry as a business manager and progressed into catering management positions. That experience launched into her dream job as an event planner, however, the COVID-19 pandemic forced her to reconsider her career path. With a keen eye for detail and excellent people skills, she decided to work toward a real estate license. After gaining four years of expertise in residential real estate, Martineau recognized that commercial real estate is her true professional calling and found the perfect fit with Hoff & Leigh’s values and business model.

“We are excited to continue to grow our team with people like Katie,” said Brandon Langiewicz, Hoff & Leigh Denver branch president. “Her sales and client management experience, professionalism and personal drive will positively impact our growth in the Denver market.”

Elevation Community Land Trust (ECLT) announced the appointment of accomplished housing professional and Colorado native Yvonne Duvall as chief program officer on June 10, 2024. Yvonne’s robust background in affordable housing development and leadership is greatly welcomed by Elevation as the organization works to expand homeownership opportunities across Colorado. Elevation Community Land Trust has a portfolio of more than 600 homes and over 700 homes in the pipeline.

As Chief Program Officer, Yvonne will lead Elevation’s focused efforts to deliver this pipeline of real estate projects to Colorado communities, creating permanent opportunity and upending wealth inequality through affordable homeownership.

Yvonne’s career spans nearly two decades, dedicated to HUD funding and affordable housing programs. She has successfully written and administered over $50 million in grant awards. Her leadership and strategic planning skills have driven program success, particularly in community-benefitting real estate development and housing initiatives such as housing rehabilitation, rental utility mortgage assistance, aging in place, and matched savings programs.

She spearheaded initiatives that increased grant revenue and supported regional expansion efforts. She contributed to affordable and LIHTC housing projects, including the Paris Family Apartments, Valor on the Fax PSH for individuals with acquired brain injuries, and the GES Community Land Trust incubation.

As the Community Planning and Development administrator for the Arapahoe County Government, she administered housing, public facility, infrastructure, and public service projects, ensuring compliance with CDBG, HOME, NSP, and federal regulations. As director of Affordable Housing for Opportunity In Living, she grew and managed a HUD REO housing program, acquiring, renovating, and selling over 150 homes to low and moderate-income homebuyers.

Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a Master of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership from The University of Denver. She is certified as a Housing Development Finance Professional and has Data Analytics and Project Management certifications.

CFC Construction Names Josh Thall as Director of Procurement

Josh Thall

CFC Construction announced the promotion of Josh Thall to director of procurement. Thall’s new role will bridge the gap between business development, preconstruction, and operations, helping to ensure that CFC’s bidding and planning activities are in alignment with how each project will be bought, staffed, and built. With 20+ years in both construction and development across hospitality, multifamily, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and beyond, Thall’s experience wearing a wide variety of hats on an even wider range of builds enables him to understand project needs and success factors from every angle.

“Josh is a proven leader and creative thinker who understands perspectives from both sides of the table,” said CFC President Sean Smith. “He joined CFC in 2023 with a strong desire to get back to the construction side, wanting a more hands-on role where he could have a greater impact on project teams and outcomes. He absolutely has what it takes to help CFC keep succeeding and growing.”

Josh first brought his leadership skills to bear as a senior project manager for a 16-story, 336-unit multifamily project, Denargo IV. With that project nearing completion, CFC leadership is confident the time is right to give Josh the reins on CFC’s procurement activities. Thall, who has a well-demonstrated passion for managing, mentoring, and upleveling teams, will also oversee CFC’s Preconstruction and Estimating departments.

CFC Vice President of Project Development Tamara Bujakowski, who has known and occasionally worked with Thall for nearly two decades, said, “Josh’s approach is a perfect fit with CFC’s philosophy. He really values CFC’s commitment to investing in its people and will play a big role in creating the next generation of leaders here at CFC.”

Thall himself is delighted to help lead the longtime Colorado builder’s next phase of growth. He said, “We’ve been known as a primarily multifamily builder for many years. CFC is much more than that, and I’m excited to show the market our capabilities. In short, CFC is the partner that clients, subs, and employees want to work with.”

Thall holds a BS from the University of California and earned his Professional Certification in Construction Management from Colorado State University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional certified by the US Green Building Council, an AHA/ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor, and Licensed General Contractor in Colorado.
