Daniel Ryley is the New Executive Director of the Arvada Economic Development Association
The Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) has announced that Daniel Ryley has been appointed as the new executive director.
“On behalf of the AEDA Board, we are excited for him to take on this new opportunity and are confident that he is the right leader for this organization. Daniel possesses more than fourteen years of economic and workforce development experience. His skills will complement the organization’s strengths as we continue to promote Arvada as a pro-business community,” said Jodi Thomas, AEDA board president.
Ryley has been AEDA’s deputy director for the past four years and has had many successes in that role, including managing AEDA’s Business Retention program and Business Retention Committee, overseeing AEDA grant and loan programs and consulting with businesses, commercial brokers, developers and the Arvada community. Prior to joining AEDA, Ryley served as the director of business retention for Adams County Economic Development (ACED). In this role, he led the organization’s Business Retention Taskforce and leveraged assets and resources from the public and private sector to support the growth and expansion of existing critical industries within Adams County. Ryley is a Colorado native and holds a Bachelor Degree in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University.
As the executive director of the AEDA team, Ryley will be responsible for supporting the AEDA Board of Directors, guiding the staff on strategy, prioritizing projects and overall leadership of the organization.

In the next few months, AEDA staff will be engaging in new and expanded roles. Ryan Stachelski, former AEDA director, has transitioned into a new position within the City of Arvada, leading a team of growth and development disciplines, including Building, Planning, Development Review and Economic Development.
Hord Coplan Macht Promotes Principals and Associates
Hord Coplan Macht announced that it has promoted several employees in the Denver office to principal, senior associate or associate.
Hord Coplan Macht has promoted Kara Aylesworth, Michelle Horn and Robyn Bartling to principal. Chris (Topher) Skulley has been promoted to senior associate and seven team members have been promoted to associate, including Zoe Malfetti, Janice Curley, Craig Stoffel, Carol Fletcher, Josh Francis, Joseph Sammartino and Heather Morehead.

Atlas Real Estate Group Expands with Five New Hires in Denver and Colorado Springs
Atlas Real Estate Group, a full-service realty group specializing in real estate investments, brokerage and property management, has expanded its footprint in both Denver and Colorado Springs with five new hires in the past six months.
Atlas’ growth and good works have been recognized by ColoradoBiz Magazine. The group was named the Best of Colorado Property Management in spring 2017 and 2018 and Top Company, Real Estate, in August 2018.
Five property managers have joined the Atlas team, bolstering the group’s current management presence in Denver and Colorado Springs. Maria Estes and Anne Sheffield will be based in Colorado Springs, while Nicholas Leuk, Derek Boone and Mike Powell will be located in Denver.
Ware Malcomb Promotes Jessica McInnis to Director, Accounting
Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, announced Jessica McInnis has been promoted to director, accounting in the firm’s Irvine, Calif.-based headquarters office.
McInnis joined Ware Malcomb in 2010 as an accounts receivable specialist. She quickly grew her responsibilities within the firm’s accounting and contracts group, adding tremendous value during a period of rapid growth. She was promoted to contracts manager in 2012 and project accounting manager in 2015. McInnis has also been involved in several significant firm-wide initiatives, including serving as a member of the Ware Malcomb 4.0 Steering Committee and leading the Ware Malcomb Foundation Committee.
“Jessica has been the backbone of the accounting and contracts team as these critical functions were scaled up to accommodate Ware Malcomb’s continued growth,” said Tobin Sloane, chief financial officer of Ware Malcomb. “Her dedication to her team and the positive relationships she has fostered with other Ware Malcomb associates, consultants and clients are appreciated by all. We look forward to Jessica’s continued leadership and contributions to the firm.”
McInnis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Oregon Charles H. Lundquist College of Business.
Zocalo Hires Torrance Delgado as Assistant Project Manager
Zocalo Community Development announced Torrance Delgado, MBA has joined the company as assistant project manager. Delgado brings a demonstrated history of leadership in the construction and engineering industry, having previously worked as an asset manager for Denver International Airport and lead project engineer for Kiewit-Turner Venture.
“We are excited to welcome Torrance to the Zocalo family and grow our expertise within the construction project management team,” said Clark Atkinson, LEEP AP and chief development officer for Zocalo. “His strong skills in communication, knowledge of the building process and ability to problem-solve will help us deliver impactful results for Zocalo’s community-based projects.”
In his role as assistant project manager, Delgado is responsible for organizationally planning, executing and supporting activities leading to successful project completion.

Delgado is a graduate of Louisiana State University where he received a Masters degree in Business Administration with a Specialization in Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise. He received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
