Northwoods Theater Group, an affiliate of Emagine Entertainment, officially opened a one-of-a-kind cinema experience, Emagine Parker, on July 1, marking the company’s first Colorado location and bringing moviegoing back to Parker for the first time in more than a year.

The completely reimagined 32,000-square-foot entertainment destination features luxury heated recliners, premium large-format EMX auditoriums, immersive Dolby Atmos sound, 4K projection, expanded food-and-beverage offerings, a full-service bar, and the company’s first self-ordering guest experience.

The transformation was designed by international entertainment architecture firm DECA Architecture and the general contractor was Amcon Construction, Inc.

Inside, there are 10 individual auditoriums, each adorned with silk-screened images of Colorado scenery, such as the Maroon Bells, bringing the outdoors inside and showcasing the state’s great beauty.

“Opening our first Colorado location is an incredibly exciting moment for our entire organization,” said Jon Goldstein, owner, Northwoods Theater Group. “From the beginning, our goal was to create something Parker didn’t already have: a completely reimagined entertainment destination that brings together premium movie experiences, great food and drinks, innovative technology, and an atmosphere designed to bring people together. We’re proud of what we’ve built and excited to finally welcome the community inside.”

“The newly renovated Emagine theatre is a tremendous investment in Parker and a welcome addition to our town,” said Parker, Colorado Mayor Joshua Rivero. “We’ve missed having a movie theatre right here in Parker over the past year, and we’re excited to have it back as a place that brings families, friends and neighbors together while supporting our local economy.”

The private grand opening celebration on June 30 benefited HopeKids Colorado, with proceeds supporting local families facing life-threatening medical conditions.

Opening-week films include Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, Supergirl, Disclosure Day and jackass: best and last. Tickets are on sale now.
