Anticipated to open in the first quarter of 2021, McGregor Square announced several new tenants this week, including a flagship store and the official bank for the Colorado Rockies, Bank of Colorado. Rock Fitness powered by Inward Fitness, a Starbucks, and the new location for the beloved Tattered Cover will also call McGregor Square home.
“We are extremely excited to be involved in this project,” said Jonathan Rogers, Bank of Colorado regional president. “The demand for relationship-based banking is more important now than ever. This branch will allow us to better service our customers, from someone looking for a convenient, helpful community banking experience, to a business looking for personal service with powerful tools to help their business grow.”
Located just south of Coors Field, the home of the Colorado Rockies, McGregor Square features three buildings: a 176-room boutique hotel, the McGregor Square Residences, and more than 200,000 square feet of commercial office space, along with 70,000 square feet of curated retail consisting of both local and national tenants.
The architect and interior designer is Stantec and Hensel Phelps is the general contractor. All financing for the project is being provided by Bank of Colorado and UMB. The exclusive broker is Kentwood City Properties.
The 103 WELL-Certified residences range from 450-square-foot studios to 6,000-square-foot penthouses. Units are selling quickly with over 60 percent sold; prices for the condos are set to increase in January. Dick Monfort, owner/chairman and CEO of the Colorado Rockies and the lead developer of McGregor Square, will be among the residents who are on track to move in early 2021.
“McGregor Square will be a community, first and foremost, featuring amazing residences, curated retail, office space, over 30,000 square feet of plaza, and a fantastic hotel,” said Monfort. “As a development, we are focused on making McGregor Square the place to be in LoDo, and we are prioritizing the project to be a safe, clean and family friendly experience for everyone to enjoy.”
The hotel, managed by Sage Hospitality, will dedicate the second floor to the future home of an interactive tribute to the history of the Colorado Rockies franchise, allowing visitors to Coors Field a chance to learn more about their favorite team. The hotel will also feature 20,000 square feet of event space and 10,000 square feet of outdoor pre-function space for events ranging from weddings to company functions.
“We could not be more excited for McGregor Square to open in the first quarter of 2021,” said Patrick Walsh, general manager of McGregor Square. “Our residents will begin to move in in January. The hotel and most of our retail will open in March, and we will be announcing even more retail partners in the coming months.”
