NAHB’s Best in American Living Awards celebrate the value and importance of good home and community design, recognizing the architects, builders and designers who define residential excellence. Summit Sky Ranch Lake House was recognized with a Gold award in the Community Facility category.
Located in Silverthorne, Summit Sky Ranch is a luxury single-family community that connects residents to the surrounding natural environment through its unique amenity offerings including a private 20-acre lake. Once a mining quarry, the site was transformed into a safe harbor for neighborhood residents to enjoy swimming,
fishing and water sports, as well as a place of respite in the accompanying lake house.
Uplands was recognized with a Gold award in the On-the-Boards Community category. Uplands is a solution-oriented master-planned community that creates vital housing opportunities for Colorado’s missing middle. Located between Denver and Boulder, the development of the site marks the revitalization of a historically underutilized and underfunded pocket of the City of Westminster.
Hartford Cottages was recognized with a Gold award in the Innovative Housing Solution category. Designed in partnership with DTJ Design, the cottages emphasize affordability and eco-friendliness, maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste by leveraging minimal foundation adjustments and standardized dimensions.
