Punch Bowl Social Stapleton Announces Closure

Former Stapelton Air Traffic Control Tower

Following a string of announcements of restaurant closures in Denver, the latest announcement hits extra hard. According to the Denver Post, Punch Bowl Social Stapleton will not reopen following its closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Formerly the Stapleton air traffic control tower. the 32,000-square-foot restaurant and entertainment venue opened in 2017. Mile High CRE toured the construction site ahead of its opening.

In a statement released last week, Punch Bowl Social founder and CEO Robert Thompson said the closure comes after he failed to reach a new lease agreement with his landlord in Stapleton. Thompson does however plan to reopen the company’s original Broadway location.
