SLC Expands Colorado Portfolio with Arden Development

Southern Land Company (SLC) continues its expansion in Colorado with the completion of Arden Karl’s Farm, its highly anticipated multifamily development in Northglenn. The community is now welcoming residents as part of a phased opening. Located within the master-planned Karl’s Farm community at 1801 E. 121st Avenue, Arden brings a modern, amenity-rich living experience to one of Colorado’s most accessible areas. 

Several Denver-based firms contributed to the Arden project, including KTGY (architecture), Kimley-Horn (civil engineering), and Jordan Skala Engineers (MEP engineering). Additional consultants included Faulkner Design Group, an interior design firm headquartered in Dallas, and Structural Corp., a structural engineering firm based in Houston.

Blending contemporary design with historical homage, Arden features boutique, contemporary farmhouse architecture and an industrial style, mixing warmth with sleek metals and concrete to deliver a modern farmhouse feel that acknowledges the site’s 65-year history as the home of Karl’s Farm Dairy, which operated from 1947 until 2012.

Spanning 18 three-story residential buildings and one four-story, elevator-served building, the 480,000-square-foot community offers a mix of 75 studios, 222 one-bedroom apartments, 62 two-bedroom apartments, and 14 three-bedroom apartments, as well as 12 three-bedroom townhomes. With 18 spacious apartment floor plans ranging from 627 square feet to 1,458 square feet starting at just over $1,600 per month, plus two townhome floor plans ranging from 1,984 square feet to 2,254 square feet starting at $4,950 per month, Arden’s wide variety of residences are intended to accommodate an array of needs and preferences. All of Arden’s 385 residences are pet-friendly.

Arden is being delivered in multiple phases, with seven residential buildings comprising 142 apartments already complete and partially occupied. Full completion of the community is slated for this summer.
