Etkin Johnson Real Estate Partners, a full-service, privately owned commercial real estate investment and development company based in Colorado, has secured a long-term lease with Blue Canyon Technologies (BTC), a complete end-to-end spacecraft company and leading small satellite manufacturer. BTC will occupy an 80,132-square-foot office/flex building, located at 2550 Crescent Drive in the Lafayette Corporate Campus in Lafayette, Colorado. The company is expected to move Q1 2020, consolidating multiple locations within Boulder County.
“As Blue Canyon Technologies expands its satellite manufacturing and R&D, they need a partner like Etkin Johnson who can support their continued growth,” said Ryan Good, executive vice president and partner at Etkin Johnson. “Lafayette Corporate Campus is an ideal real estate solution for aerospace and advanced technology companies due to the large floorplates, ample parking and highly sought-after location along the US 36 Corridor.”
The two-story building will house multiple BTC operations, including day-to-day management, engineering, manufacturing, distribution, as well as research and development. Lafayette Corporate Campus consists of 293,394 square feet in five buildings, providing potential for future expansion.
Blue Canyon Technologies works with multiple U.S. military and commercial space clients, offering cost-efficient spacecraft solutions. The company doubled its employee base last year and continues to grow its team.
Strategically located in Lafayette, the property offers easy access to the Northwest Parkway and US 36 that connects Denver and Boulder. The building is designed to maximize the impact of floor-to-ceiling windows, offering abundant natural lighting and sweeping views of the Flatirons.
Neil Littmann and Jessica Cashmore with The Colorado Group, Inc. represented Blue Canyon Technologies in the transaction.
In addition to Blue Canyon Technologies, Etkin Johnson’s portfolio has multiple aerospace tenants, including Ball Aerospace, Sierra Nevada Corporation, Ursa Major Technologies and M.M.A. Design. The firm currently owns more than 3 million square feet of industrial and office property, along with hospitality and multifamily assets along the Front Range.
