Swinerton Celebrates ENR 2024 Best Project Awards

Swinerton has been honored with multiple awards at the ENR Mountain States 2024 Best Projects competition. This year, the competition recognized top projects across a seven-state region, evaluating over 100 entries for innovation, design, teamwork, craft quality, safety, and community impact. Swinerton’s achievements in this highly competitive field underscores its commitment to excellence.

Swinerton’s projects were highlighted among the best, securing awards in both the Best Projects and Award of Merit categories. Here is a look at the honors received:

Best Interior/Tenant: Biodesix Corporate Headquarters and Laboratory, Louisville

This award recognizes exceptional Interior/Tenant construction. The Biodesix Corporate Headquarters and Laboratory project represents Swinerton’s dedication to transforming outdated retail spaces into cutting-edge laboratory and office environments with advanced MEP infrastructure and specialized facilities for critical lung disease research and diagnostics.

Best Renovation/Restoration: Hatch Labs at Wilderness Place, Boulder

The Hatch Labs at Wilderness Place project, which transformed a former brewpub into a state-of-the-art life science hub with laboratory, office, amenity, and conference spaces, exemplified innovation and teamwork through cost-saving renovations, mold remediation and the integration of advanced safety measures while contributing to the community with infrastructure designed to foster entrepreneurship.

Award of Merit – Small Project: University of Colorado Ofelia Miramontes and Leonard Baca Education Building, Boulder

The University of Colorado Ofelia Miramontes and Leonard Baca Education Building project is remarkable for its meticulous balancing of preserving historic elements while demolishing the building’s center, maintaining operational functionality, and addressing complex MEP and safety challenges. It achieved LEED Gold certification and created innovative, high-tech educational spaces that foster student collaboration and improve life cycle costs.

The ENR Mountain States Awards will be celebrated at breakfast events in Salt Lake City on December 10 and Denver on December 13. These events will spotlight the finalists and recognize the ENR Mountain States Legacy Award winner, as well as top achievers in various categories.
