DENVER — California-based T2 Hospitality LLC is preparing to bring two new hotels to downtown Denver. The Thompson Denver, to be built at 1600 Market, will replace an ugly surface parking lot with a new 214-room, 11-story hotel. T2 Hospitality has also submitted a Project Concept Review Plan to the Denver planning office for an eight-story hotel located at 1637 Blake, a 0.36-acre site across the street from RTD headquarters and the in-progress Market Station development.
Thompson Denver is set to become Denver’s most promising up-scale hub in a distinct neighborhood, crafted for both locals and sophisticated globe-trotters. DLR Group is the project architect. Amenities will also include a premiere signature suite, outdoor sky patio and fireplace, signature full-service restaurant and bar, rooftop bar with private event rooms, as well as meeting and event space on multiple levels of the hotel.

According to application materials submitted to the Lower Downtown Design Review Board, the 1637 Blake hotel development will include a total of 177 guest rooms located on Floors 2 through 8 and a basement level that will contain back-of-house and administrative functions along with the hotel’s fitness center. The ground-floor will include the main entry/lobby, a 1,625-square-foot restaurant fronting Blake Street, a 2,230-square-foot bar/pre-function space, approximately 1,500 square feet of meeting rooms, and more back-of-house functions.
