Denver falls to the #2 spot this year on the U.S. News and World Report rankings for the 100 Best Places to Live in the USA, behind Austin, Texas. The report cited a high cost of living and that although Denver is “eco-friendly”, most people have cars and the average commute time is creeping up with increased population. Despite these issues, the report still found Denver to be highly desirable with an overall score of 7.5 out of 10.
U.S. News analyzed 100 metro areas in the United States to find the best places to live based on quality of life and the job market in each metro area, as well as the value of living there and people’s desire to live there.
