Westminster, CO – The Beck Group Denver project team celebrated an important milestone in the construction of the $11.6 million Westminster Station Parking Garage — the topping out of the project that will have a capacity of nearly 600 parking spaces, with the ability to expand to almost 1,200 spaces.
Construction on the four-story garage, located at the corner of Hooker Street and Westminster Station Drive in Westminster, Colorado, a suburb of Denver, began in August 2015. The garage is an RTD bus transfer facility to serve the intermodal station and is part of a series of projects at the Westminster Station.
“It’s exciting to be a part of this premier transit-oriented destination,” says Doug Spuler, Managing Principal, at The Beck Group in Denver. “With all the anticipated commuter activity between Westminster and Denver’s Union Station, there will be an incredible need for parking at Westminster Station. This garage will form the centerpiece of the transit development that will connect people to their work and entertainment for years to come.”
The Beck Group was chosen to design and build the project, which will be completed in mid-2016.
