Cushing Terrell Hires Dierdre Crowl as Federal Business Development Director
Multidisciplinary design firm Cushing Terrell recently welcomed Dierdre Crowl, MBA, CAP, OM, to its government team as federal business development director. In the role, Dierdre will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and cultivating client relationships throughout the federal sphere.

In partnership with firm leadership and government design directors, she will lead strategic outreach efforts and work to uncover alignment between government industry needs and Cushing Terrell’s design services and expertise.
With more than 20 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, she is recognized for her governance fluency, cross-functional strategy, board leadership, and building client and community experiences that deepen impact and create positive outcomes.
Prior to joining Cushing Terrell, Crowl held roles of increasing responsibility with KCI, an engineering services firm based in Maryland. Her roles included assistant chief knowledge officer, pursuit manager, and most recently, business development director.
Crowl has served as board chair and president of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, has served on the executive committee of the United Way of Central Maryland’s Leaders United, and is a current member of the Society of American Military Engineers and the Commercial Real Estate Women Network.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from McDaniel College and a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University.
CBRE Promotes Chessa Pike to Vice President, Adds Her to U.S. Healthcare Capital Markets Team
CBRE announced today that Chessa Pike has been promoted to vice president and has transitioned from CBRE’s National Behavioral Healthcare team to the firm’s U.S. Healthcare Capital Markets team.
Based in Denver, Pike will partner with Chris Bodnar, Brannan Knott, Zack Holderman, Anthony Sardo, Cole Reethof, Jesse Greshin and Chris Manassero as part of CBRE’s Healthcare Capital Markets platform to further expand the firm’s relationships with healthcare investors.

Prior to joining the group, Pike partnered with Stuart Thomas and Ken Brown of CBRE’s National Behavioral Health Advisory group where she advised on portfolio strategy for national clinical operators, procured and managed several large healthcare accounts, researched claims data and co-authored a published industry report on healthcare supply and demand imbalance, and was an invited speaker at multiple healthcare conferences.
Earlier in her tenure at CBRE, Chessa was a member of Denver’s institutional capital markets team, where she underwrote, developed pro formas and positioned office assets for dispositions. Pike began her real estate career appraising medical and office properties.

S. A. Miro, Inc. Adds Two Civil Design Engineers
S. A. Miro, Inc., a consulting engineering firm providing civil and structural engineering to public and private sector clients, has hired Fernanda Monroe and Luke Marxhausen as civil design engineers.
In their new roles, Monroe and Marxhausen will assist in preparing and reviewing project documents and engineering calculations for site layout, grading, stormwater treatment, and detailing for phased campus planning and infill site development. They will provide support in several key markets, including commercial, healthcare, education, large-scale mixed-use, parks and parking.

Monroe has more than 10 years of experience in the industry where she has held positions such as maintenance coordinator and assistant civil engineer. She also owned and operated her own business, Fernanda Monroe Engineering Services. Monroe earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Santa Cecilia.
Marxhausen earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and has more than three years of industry experience, including roles as a structural engineering intern and civil design intern.
