Denver, CO – As the Colorado Department of Transportation‘s Central 70 project enters the final stages, several important milestones remain. The next critical step is for the Federal Highway Administration to issue a Record of Decision (ROD), which concludes the 13-year environmental study process. The ROD is now scheduled to be signed in early 2017 which will be followed by the release of the final draft Request for Proposals (RFP) in the spring. A developer is expected to be selected from the four short-listed teams in the summer of 2017 and construction is slated to start in early 2018.

Currently, CDOT is seeking public review and comment on the recently updatedDraft Air Quality Conformity Determination and NEPA Comparative Analysis which demonstrates that the project meets all national air quality standards.
