Celebrate Colorado Architecture This Month
April is a month-long celebration to share with the public how AIA Colorado members design our communities, shape our region and provide value through innovative design solutions.
Denver, CO – The American Institute of Architects Colorado Chapter (AIA Colorado) proudly announces April as Colorado Architecture Month.
There are over 3,200 licensed architects throughout Colorado, and more than 1,700 of those are AIA Colorado members. As Colorado’s construction and building industry continues to grow, architects will play a key role in designing the communities of tomorrow.
“AIA Colorado architects are leaders in the collaborative design of our state’s built environment,” said Cathy Rosset, Executive Vice President and CEO of AIA Colorado. “We recognize our state as a rich and diverse place to practice architecture, and are dedicated to making a lasting contribution to our communities through effective and inspiring design.”
- On Saturday, April 16, the popular Box City event in Colorado Springs is an opportunity for children to learn about the design and construction industry.
- On Monday, April 25, architecture and design enthusiasts can join Frank Lloyd Wright scholar Jack Quinan in Boulder for an evening of conversation about the late American architect.
- From April 23 – April 24, the Denver Architectural Foundation is hosting the 12th Annual Doors Open Denver. This premier showcase event highlights nearly 70 of Denver’s unique spaces, including 27 buildings designed by AIA Colorado members.
