Hotel Born at Union Station Earns LEED Silver Certification

Developed by Continuum Partners and designed by architect BOKA Powell, Kimpton Hotel Born Denver, the anchor for Denver’s revitalized Union Station neighborhood, has earned two notable recognitions: a Four Diamond Rating from AAA and LEED Silver certification.

“In a destination as hot as Denver, the combination of these two noteworthy accomplishments set Hotel Born apart from other hotels in the city,” said Von DeLuna, general manager of Hotel Born. “Guests return again and again for our service, style and incredible location and I think they love the fact that our hotel is committed to sustainability as well.”

According to AAA, a Four Diamond hotel is refined and stylish, providing upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail. For 2019, 113 hotels were added to the AAA Four Diamond Award list. A total of 1,722 hotels throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean received the Four Diamond Rating in the past 12 months, qualifying them for the 2019 Four Diamond Award list. Four Diamond hotels account for 6.3 percent of the more than 27,000 AAA Inspected & Approved and Diamond Rated hotels. The AAA Diamond Ratings for hotels and restaurants are among the most well-known and respected distinctions in the global travel industry.

Hotel Born was awarded LEED Silver certification for their sustainability practices for new construction.
