Denver-based Swanson Rink — provider of mechanical, electrical design and commissioning services for data centers, airports and corporate developments — has made a $25,000 donation to the University of Colorado Foundation as part of its commemoration of 70 years in the engineering business. This contribution will support scholarship funding for students pursuing degrees in the university’s College of Engineering and Applied Science.
“We’re proud of our history and legacy, and we wanted to celebrate this success by reinvesting in the engineering talent pipeline,” said Gary Orazio, P.E., president of Swanson Rink. “Engineers have a tremendous impact on our communities, and we’re looking forward to helping support advancements in the thinking and skills needed for the next 70 years,” he added.
Swanson Rink is a recognized market leader in data center engineering, designing the power and cooling to ensure seamless data center operations supporting the global digital infrastructure. The firm has worked for some of the largest hyperscale data center clients in the U.S, having designed more than 200 megawatts of data center projects during the last three years.
The firm has also created a niche market providing design for some of the world’s largest and most iconic airports. Swanson Rink has provided baggage handling design at more than 60 airports around the world, including recent projects at Las Vegas and Los Angeles International Airports. The firm also has a major contract with the Transportation Security Administration, providing security checkpoint design for nearly every airport within the United States.
