DENVER — McCarthy Building Companies Inc. ranked No. 7 in Solar Power World’s 2018 Top Solar Contractors list of top contractors in the United States. McCarthy was also ranked No. 5 on the “Top 10 Solar EPCs” list and No. 7 on the Top 10 Utility Solar Contractors list. In 2017 McCarthy’s Renewable Energy team installed 370,000 kilowatts (DC) for 10 projects in communities throughout the United States.
Rankings are determined by the number of kilowatts (DC) installed in 2017 in the United States only. Solar Power World magazine is a leading online and print resource for news and information regarding solar installation, development and technology.
The McCarthy Renewable Energy team focuses on solar installation projects as well as other renewable energy projects across the U.S. Nationally, McCarthy provides engineer, procure, construct (EPC) services on utility-scale solar projects. In Colorado, McCarthy was selected as the EPC contractor for 12 projects across the state, which are slated for completion by the end of 2018. In recent years, McCarthy’s Renewable Energy Team has completed or is in the process of constructing more than 30 utility-scale clean energy projects in communities from coast to coast, representing a combined capacity of more than 1.3 Gigawatts (GW) of clean energy production.
