Loveland, COMcWhinney celebrates 25-year presence in Northern Colorado with a history in Colorado that began with family homesteading over 150 years ago. Today, the firm has a diversified real estate development vision that has been shaping the landscape and communities of Northern Colorado for 25 years.

McWhinney’s commitment to Larimer County and its economic growth has provided tax funding programs to support infrastructure improvements and community enhancements, created job opportunities for more than 7,000 people, and developed more than 6,000 acres of land and 1,700 multifamily units.

Currently under construction in Fort Collins, The Elizabeth Hotel, co-developed by Sage Hospitality, will offer 164 rooms as part of a new mixed-use development near the center of Old Town. This project will feature a unique retail concept named Firehouse Alley, offering 3,850 square feet of alley-facing retail options activating the space between the hotel and parking structure.

In the coming weeks, McWhinney will break ground on Cycle Apartments, a modern and dynamic 405-unit apartment concept adjacent to the Foothills Mall, complete with a host of amenities that complement the fit and spirited Fort Collins lifestyle.

This fall in Loveland, construction will begin on a 166-unit lifestyle apartment community adjacent to Waterford featuring unique amenities designed with the active individual in mind. McWhinney continues to expand Centerra’s master plan with Phase II at The Lakes at Centerra, which will maintain its focus on the synergistic relationship between nature and urban living, within walking distance to the new Pre-K to 8 STEAM school. Two additional multi-family projects are also being planned in Loveland, adding approximately 400 new apartment homes.

“We are proud to play a role in the growth of Northern Colorado and partner with local businesses and municipalities to bring innovative ideas and dynamic additions that create a sense of place and connect to the existing fabric along the front range,” said Chad McWhinney, CEO and Co-Founder of McWhinney.

Over the last twenty-five years, McWhinney has expanded its real estate development experience along the front range to include mixed-use projects in Denver, Loveland, Johnstown, Fort Collins and Broomfield.
