Supertramp Campers, a manufacturer of premium-grade pop-up truck campers, is expanding its presence within Corporate Center in Golden, which is owned and managed by St. John Properties, Inc. The company was founded by Keith and Kelsey Panich in 2017, and will now occupy 17,400 square feet of space in the 14-building, 600,000-square-foot business community.
St. John Properties’ Vince Furfaro represented the landlord and Marc Feldman of Hughes Marino represented the tenant in this transaction.
The expansion coincides with Supertramp Campers’ impending addition of the new Megatron camper to its product line. Constructed using a vacuum-infused carbon fiber reinforced shell, the Megatron is a lightweight camper featuring amenities including 900 watts of solar power, air-conditioning, furnace/water heater, internal water capacity and storage. The company expects to produce approximately seven Megatron campers this year, which will sell at a price of approximately $500,000, before ramping up production to four units per month next year. Supertramp Campers has recently bulked up its manufacturing capacity due to the product addition and now employs approximately 30 workers.
“Golden, Colorado is the perfect place for our company headquarters and manufacturing operations because our customers from around the country can easily access us from the Denver airport,” explained the group’s president, Kelsey Panich. “Additionally, people tend to begin their camping journeys from Colorado because it is located at the gateway to the Front Range and scenic sections of the west and Pacific Northwest.”
Panich adds that the company’s customers are traditionally business owners and outdoor travel aficionados with a passion for exploring the country and remaining close to nature.
“The flex/R&D building suits our manufacturing needs given its high ceilings and massive 18 x 20’ garage doors, which allow us to easily move materials in and finished products out,” Panich added. “St. John Properties’ Corporate Center provides a pleasant and functional working environment that has contributed to our success.”
Corporate Center is located near the intersection of Interstate 70 and Colorado 470, and is close to 6th Avenue (U.S. 6) and Colfax Avenue (U.S. 40). The business community is approximately 15 miles from Denver, 25 miles from Boulder, and 35 miles from Denver International Airport.
“The flex/R&D buildings at Corporate Center have proven to be ideal for Supertramp Campers’ requirement for manufacturing, storage and office space,” stated Brandon Jenkins, St. John Properties’ regional partner for Colorado. “Our speculative building strategy ensures that tenants like Supertramp Campers are able to easily expand within our portfolio. We’re excited to grow alongside this valued tenant, and accommodate their burgeoning manufacturing and operations at Corporate Center.”
