Aspen-based Rowland+Broughton has been named to the exclusive Professional Services Management Journal’s (PSMJ) 2020 Circle of Excellence, for the ninth year running. The listing recognizes successfully managed architecture and engineering firms demonstrating outstanding achievements in 13 key performance metrics, measuring growth, profitability, the ability to attract and maintain talents, cash flow management, and efficiency of overhead investments.
Members of PSMJ’s Circle of Excellence are selected from the top 20 percent of firms that participate in PSMJ’s Financial Performance Benchmark Survey. There were a total of 65 firms chosen for the 2020 PSMJ Circle of Excellence from the 323 participants in the survey. According to Jill Stoodley, managing editor of A/E/C Industry Surveys, less than 2 percent of the more than 323 firms participating in the survey this year have made the Circle of Excellence for more than eight years. “It’s very rare and very impressive,” she notes.
“Each year, the Circle of Excellence firms come from all corners of the A/E space,” notes Frank A. Stasiowski, FAIA, founder and CEO of PSMJ Resources. “This diversity demonstrates that success isn’t defined by a specific firm size, location, or market niche. The top-performing firms just think and act differently from the rest of the pack to achieve extraordinary business performance. The firms recognized in the Circle of Excellence set the standard for outstanding and sustainable business results.”
PSMJ will honor 2020 Circle of Excellence firms live and online at A/E/C THRIVE 2020: The Growth, Profit, and Success Summit for A/E/C Firm Leaders on October 14–16, 2020.
Commenting on the achievement, Rowland+Broughton Principal, Sarah Broughton, AIA, NCIDQ, shares, “As we celebrate R+B’s 17th anniversary this summer, we are especially proud to have our studios recognized by PSMJ. To once again be included in the elite group of firms that have been named to the Circle of Excellence is a testament to the diligence and determination of our Aspen and Denver teams. As we look to the future, we will continue to raise the bar on performance in every aspect of our work and surpass the expectations of our clients.”
