A resilient business community requires a strong commitment from partner organizations and the community at large to support a thriving economy. To this end, the Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce and Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) are proud to announce two new opportunities that directly aid business resiliency in Arvada. The organizations have launched a new pilot grant program to help businesses enhance safety and security at their commercial properties. Through this program, companies may apply for reimbursement grants of up to $5,000 to offset the cost of eligible crime prevention improvements.
Additionally, the Greater Arvada Chamber has announced its new Arvada Strong Fund, which offers rapid, dependable support to local businesses and nonprofits when they encounter unexpected challenges. Whether it is recovering from a natural disaster, dealing with the aftermath of crime or property damage, or receiving scholarships for critical Chamber resources, the fund is designed to meet urgent needs and strengthen the long-term resilience of Arvada’s economy and community organizations.
So far, the Arvada Strong Fund has raised $7,773, thanks to generous community support, and the Chamber is on track to reach its 2025 goal of $20,000. By donating to the fund, community members and partners play an essential role in ensuring that Arvada’s small businesses remain resilient and continue to thrive, regardless of the challenges they face. The Chamber has already provided a grant to BeyondHome to address urgent needs related to basement flooding that affected several housing units.
These initiatives complement the work of the Arvada Resiliency Taskforce (ART), a collaboration of community partners, including the Chamber and AEDA, committed to providing resources that help businesses adapt and succeed. ART recently released a Crime and Safety Toolkit at arvadachamber.org/ART which offers practical guidance and strategies for businesses to prevent and respond to crime.
Together, the Arvada Strong Fund, the AEDA pilot grant program, and ART resources demonstrate a shared commitment to resiliency, safety, and long-term business success in Arvada.
