Travel + Leisure has put out its 2022 World’s Best Awards with a new category on the 5 Best Hotels in Denver. The 27th annual World’s Best Awards – published in the August print issue – highlights top travel destinations and companies in the U.S. and around the globe.

Denver’s top hotels connect guests to the city’s sporty side and burgeoning arts-and-culture scene. The inaugural list is as follows:

  1. The Rally Hotel
  2. Clayton Members Club and Hotel
  3. The Oxford Hotel
  4. The Maven
  5. The Ramble Hotel

The Oxford Hotel

The Oxford Hotel, No.3 on the list, is touted for its “actual wood-burning fireplace in the quaint lobby area,” along with the complimentary nightly bourbon tastings and live local music series.

“We are very honored to be included on this prestigious list of the top hotels in the Mile High City,” said Ed Blair, the area general manager overseeing The Oxford Hotel and The Oxford Club & Spa. “The Oxford offers a truly unique luxury lodging experience in the heart of downtown Denver. Our dedicated staff works hard every single day to exceed guests expectations and we appreciate this recognition from the Travel + Leisure readers.”

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Oxford Hotel anchors the popular LoDo District with 80 luxurious guest rooms and 10,000 square feet of elegant event space, with fantastic dining & drinks offered at Urban Farmer steakhouse and the Cruise Room, Denver’s quintessential Art Deco martini bar that first opened on the day after Prohibition ended in 1933. The Oxford is also home to The Oxford Club & Spa, which offers a comprehensive spa and fitness experience.

The most historic hotel in Denver, The Oxford celebrated its 130th anniversary last fall by partnering with Laws Whiskey House to create a custom 130th Anniversary Label Four Grain Bourbon, which is poured nightly at the Bourbon Hour.

The Maven

“The Maven has built a loyal following among travelers since it opened five years ago and we truly appreciate this recognition from the Travel + Leisure readers,” said Tiffany Owen, the area general manager overseeing The Maven. “The Maven and Dairy Block are the perfect launching point for visitors to enjoy a truly unique and local Colorado experience.”

Located in the heart of LoDo, The Maven delivers an industrial hotel experience with an energetic lobby highlighting an eclectic mix of local art and handmade products delivered by a passionate staff. The Maven anchors Dairy Block, a vibrant community of inspired retailers, chefs, creators and cocktail crafters that is home to Denver’s first pedestrian Alley.

The Maven offers 172 modern guestrooms and a 2,300-square-foot Windsor event space. The Maven was previously named one of the Top 20 Hotels in the Southwest & West by Conde Nast Traveler and has been ranked as one of the Best Hotels in Denver by U.S. News & World Report.
