Aspendale, a newly launched active adult housing brand, recently celebrated the grand opening of the Welcome Center and Sales Office for Aspendale Northglenn, the brand’s second Colorado community designed for residents aged 55 and older.

Aspendale was launched by Headwaters Group, a Denver-based real estate owner and developer, in response to a growing need for housing that bridges the gap between traditional multifamily living and full-service senior housing.

Metropolitan State University of Denver has officially broken ground on its first on-campus student housing complex in the school’s 60-year history.

The 12-story Summit House, set to open in 2027, will provide 155 units and 550 student beds, a new home for the Classroom to Career Hub, and dining and retail space.

@brinkerhoffhospitality — a fixture in Colorado’s dining scene for more than 45 years — is renaming its La Loma restaurants in Castle Rock and downtown Denver to Savina’s Mexican Kitchen in tribute to Grandma Savina Mendoza, whose recipes remain central to the menu.

“Letting go of the ‘La Loma’ name is bittersweet, but it’s critical to preserve the trust of our guests and their dining experiences,” says Mark Brinkerhoff. “Having two separate operators using the same name creates confusion and compromises our ability to maintain the hospitality our guests have come to know and love.”
